The original Ship’s sponsor was the Sandeman’s Port company and there was a company badge/emblem on the screen. However the relationship between the company and the ship lapsed in 1987. The Edinburgh Sheraton Hotel took on the sponsorship and this badge replaces the Sandeman’s badge during the ship’s refit in 1987. The Ship decommissioned 6 years later and the passed into the current owners’ hands. Along with this lot is a hand written letter from Flight Commander David Livingston M.B.E. who was the commanding officer 1987 – 1989
